The summer time is for flexing…ALL your musical muscles! Unlike the school year, when we book consistent weekly lessons, our summer time lessons are much more accommodating to a family’s busy plans! And with that flexibility, comes a lot of options for summer time learning.
Don’t lose The Jam! - schedule Occasional Check-ins:
If your child takes lessons during the year, scheduling a few lessons throughout the summer will help them maintain what they’ve learned. Ever hear of the “math slump” - losing some of your math knowledge over the summer because you don’t use those skills — well the music slump is the same! Pick a few convenient days and times over the summer and help keep your young musician RUST FREE!!
Make Your Own Jams! - Song-Writing and Music Production:
School-year music lessons are jam packed with skill building, reading, theory and performance. Summer is a time to DREAM BIG :) Songwriting and Music Production are two ultra creative skills/talents that take many years to develop. A few specialized song-writing or production lessons over the summer with a talented, professional artist can inspire your young musician for years to come.
Extra JAM! - Summer Intensive:
Does your child have a few weeks with no plans? Consider scheduling a lesson every day/other day/twice a week or more for accelerated growth in skill and ability. Increased frequency = Greater progress.
Jam Taste Test! - Explore Something New:
The summer is a great time to explore a new instrument. Has your young pianist been begging for guitar lessons? Is your guitar player interested in a few voice lessons? What about a few piano or guitar lessons for your vocalist so they can learn to accompany themselves!?!? The summer is the perfect time to try.
